Just as WoWInsider announced, the Cinematic Trailer for the Wrath of the Lich King expansion was presented today at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany."My child.
I watched with delight

Blizzard's CG departement excelled once again, it's looking sooo awesome.
The trailer is full of bittersweet tragedy, when the past voice of King Terenas expresses his hopes for his son, and seeing what he'd become.
Compared to the classic and BC trailers this one is shorter, and doesn't follow the 'classes showcase' pattern anymore, but delivers a more immersive and cinematically clear vision of the expansion theme.
It's so sad that the WoW movie won't be done in this CG art, but I have faith in both Blizzard and Legendary Pictures (300, The Dark Knight) that they'll at least follow the spirit and graphical style of those trailers.
Spring in Azeroth

Spring comes, with flowers sprouting everywhere!Well, everywhere but in Azeroth, where the same sparse flora covers the ground as ever.
That can be changed using a few console commands, best assembled into a macro:
The general appearance of nature becomes smoother, more vivid and rich on plants, without having a noticable impact on the frame rate.
If you want to try it: just create the following macro in WoW, and use it. Et voilà: WoW looks young again, like kissed by the spring fairy
/console groundEffectDensity 256

Der neue Trendsport in der Scherbenwelt:Als Gruppe macht's natürlich noch mehr Spass
Ich frag mich grad, welche Klassen oder mit welchen Fertigkeiten man den Fall überleben kann; dazu fallt mir momentan folgendes ein:
- Magier: Eisblock, Slowfall, Blink
- Priester: Levitieren?
- Druiden: Flugform (Rabe), Ziel anchargen vor der Landung (falls noch nicht gepachted)
- Ingenieure: Fallschirmumhang
Ob's noch andere Wege und Mittel gibt, den Sturz zu überleben?
